San Francisco 17-Mile Drive is in effect a road that passes through a limited region. You'll pay a fee to drive on it and motorcycles are not permitted. Despite what you may read elsewhere, the drive from the main road 1 Gate to the Carmel Gate is approximately 17 miles.
