The 508-room Radisson Blu Beach Resort & Spa, Sochi will open in the fourth quarter of 2013. It will have the largest upscale spa and leisure facility in the Russian Federation with a 2,000-square-meter spa, 2,400 square meters of outdoor pool surfaces, and direct access to a 450-meter stretch of beachfront.
“This signing brings our portfolio of rooms in operation and under development in and around Sochi to 2,700, and further strengthens our leading position on the Russian market,” said Kurt Ritter, president and CEO of Rezidor. The group was one of the first international hotel operators to arrive in Russia and the first to open a full-service branch office in Moscow. Today, Rezidor is the number one in Russia/CIS and Baltics. In Russia alone, the company’s total portfolio comprises 41 hotels with 11,500 rooms in operation and under development.
The Radisson Blu Beach Resort & Spa will be situated on the Black Sea coast. It will also be located in the vicinity of the Caucasus Mountains, easily accessible with the modern high-speed railway.
